NOTD: spring is here!

hiya dollfaces! i know it's been awhile, but i had to pop in and show you my polish du jour! it is from essie's new 2011 wedding collection and i think it is a color you need... especially since spring is upon us! p.s. i picked up this baby at ulta.

borrowed and blue is the ultimate creamy baby blue... i absolutely adore it!! what do you think dollfaces? must have or nah?!

NOTD: christmas edition

hiya dollfaces! here are my nails of the week devoted to christmas!
products used:
matte white by the icing (3 coats for maximum opacity)
party hearty by china glaze (use dabbing motions to get as much glitter on nails as possible)
seche vite top coat

notd: best red EVER.

i love wearing red polish! and i always tend to forget how much i love wearing red polish until i pop it on my nails. well now i've gone and done it... i have found the most perfect red ever! it is not too orange and not too blue. it applies smoothly and dries quickly. most importantly it is the most wonderful christmas red!!

mani of the day: fall

hiya dollfaces! i know i've been MIA... i do apologize! i work two jobs and that means i only have 1 afternoon off during the week and 1 full day off during the weekend... so it's super hectic. it's also easier for me to film vids for my youtube channel so i have been devoting my extra time to that... however, i will be trying to do more posts on here because i miss you guys! i don't like doubling up on blog and youtube posts on the same thing, but maybe i will try incorporating that. p.s. i hope you will check out and subscribe to my youtube channel. i am having a little giveaway over there right now... just subscribe and say you're a blog follower and i will enter you! :)

anyhoo on to the mani of the day. it's screams fall and sort of whispers christmas, but that's ok! it's a beautiful burgundy rust color from sinful colors called:

which is absolutely gorgeous on the nails

then i decided to spice it up a bit and add a little sticker from this pack to my left ring fingernail

and voila! a mani fit for the fall!

sinful colors are really an awesome deal! they can be found at rite aid, walgreens and cvs (?) and only cost $1.99! LOVE IT!!

when fall comes to my nails...

hiya dollfaces! sorry for being such a slacker! i have been putting a lot of effort into my youtube channel and not enough here. my apologies! i have been waiting till fall to rock some dark teal nails, but i couldn't wait any longer!! so today i have a notd featuring a standout nail color from sinful colors new fall collection called stormy. it is gorgeous. depending on the light it can look black, dark teal and almost emerald with flecks of blue. it's a very mysterious color and i love it! even better... i love the price $1.99 at rite aid! you may have to hunt it down though... i got the last bottle at my store and have visited several others and it is always the one sold out of the display. i hope it's not limited edition! anyhoo here are the pics.

found: perfect summer polish - NOTD

this is weekend rendezvous from Icing and it is the perfect summertime polish shade. a wonderful coral pink made to compliment a summer glow (err... which i have yet to obtain).. but even now in my paleness it still looks lovely! if you haven't tried the Icing polishes i suggest you get thee to a mall a.s.a.p. sooooooo worth it!!

china glaze mania!

hiya dollfaces! so you know those days when the only thing that will make you happy is a new nail polish? well, that was me on thursday... so off to sally i went! the main reason i went was to find something alittle lighter than flyin' high... which i reviewed earlier and looks alittle something like this..

i found what i was looking for in this gem...

for audrey (my new favorite nail polish)

for audrey is flyin' high's brother from another mother! i'm in LOVE with it... so ridiculously gorgeous and i cannot wait to have a pedicure with this color!! hello springtime!!! God bless china glaze and their buy 2 get 1 free offer so my arm was twisted to pick up two other colors...

this is something sweet... it's a lovely light pinkie... i love light pastel shades and this is just beautiful. i'm glad that it is opaque in two coats instead of the pink sheer colors i am used to that take forever to reach the desired shade. 5 stars for china glaze!

this is high hopes... i'm a bit leery of this as it seems very orange-alish on me. but i will wait until i'm more tan and give it another go. it may make a great pedicure shade as well... stay tuned!

doll nails of the weekend: project seattle

hiya dolls! if you follow me on TWITTER you may know that tonight i'm off to seattle to visit my bff and her family and celebrate a certain munchkin's first birthday!

well, for my travels i (naturally) needed a new nail polish shade. after reading several posts i began fiending for "jade is the new black" from the OPI hong kong collection. unfortunately i ran to sally beauty supply and forgot that they don't carry OPI! blasphemy. haha

so i scuttled over to the china glaze display and settled on another shade in the blue green family (as i was fiending for a tealish shade)... it's called "flyin' high" and it looks alittle something like this...

the dollface verdict: i love the color!! i wasn't very impressed with the application... it was too thick for my taste. it didn't dry quickly and that was frustrating and resulted in a couple of botched nails! woops! because i was in a hurry i'm going to give this color a pass until i can try again... with more patience! come back sunday for a huge post!! have a FAB weekend dolls!! stay out of trouble and...
